You can find the authentic chinese food at Kuchai Lama. The black bean chicken soup is very tasty. You would not feel thirsty which needs to drink a lot of water.

The chicken wings are marinated with the asam paste. Hmmm.... it is really delicious. However, please bear in mind that the food is a bit pricey.

Special Pau in Sungai Petani

Special pau at Sungai Petani North toll. The ingredient is the deep fried shrimp. Pau is soft while the fried shrimp is crisy. Yummy !

Another 22 days, it will be 1st day of CNY. Everyone is preparing for the new clothes, housekeeping and many other things.

Without CNY cookies, I don't think it is a completely prepared for it. May friends and family members may visit me during CNY. Therefore, I went back to my parent house. I asked my mom to teach to make one of her simplest CNY cookies. It took me almost 3 hours to make it from the marketing at wet market to the cleaning the utensil. However, due to lack of confident, i only purchase RM 9 worth of materials to prepare.
Finally, I managed to make it. Considerably well done.

Look Good & Feel Good

Looking good and maintaining health is a daily task. Today, I left office early. I reach home before 6pm. I went to the pool and make use of the swimming pool. Many owners seldom make full use of its condo facilities. I told myself that I will try to spend more time at pool or gym.

My condo is in flooded area

Sigh ! The recent rain has opened up the weakness of this condo. The main road to the condo is flooded with water after a heavy rain.

Lucky, that my car park is on 2nd floor. I really have hard to travel out to the main road. I have wrote a nasty email to the developer. I doubt any action will be taken. Perhaps, it is time to form the resident committee and protest !!!

Fish Spa

I saw it the Fish Spa near my new house. I was there early morning (around 1030am). I think the fish must be hungry. I gave it a try. The school of fish is eating my dead skin. The effect is great. I felt my skin get smooth like a baby. Hmmm.. it is better than lotion.

To be or not to be

Well, today, i went to see the progress of the renovation. I found out the work was not carried out properly. The contractor told me it is not allowed to conceal the piping for air con. However, when i check with the management. It is allowed. I had no choice. It must be concealed as it will be used for many months perhaps years. I dun wanna the air con piping to cover by plastic.

Many contractors are only chosen to be easy job. They dun care of the appearance. Work must be carried out. Otherwise, it will be No payment. To be honest or not to be honest to the owner? It would depend on the contractor.

Arrangement of movers

I plan to move the furniture on this sunday. I have made arrangement but the mover called me yesterday. His staff decided not to work this sunday. He could not move the items. Left me with the backpain. I have no choice to search for another mover. Hope today. i could manage to find another mover. Time is short. Bless Me

OMG, my back is hurt again

My backpain is haunting me again. I was moving some items to my apartment last saturday. On my way to my apartment, i was nearly hit an indian lady who came from nowhere. I made an emergency brake. Nothing happen to me. Until, I move the items to my unit. I felt my backpain was starting to pain. I do not know what the cause my backpain. I just have to deal with it.

On Saturday, I forced myself into my car and drived back to my house. One inch of movement is like one yard to me. It took me 20 mins from my apartment 15 floors to my car. Reached home and rested for two days.

This morning, i went to see my orthopaedic. He insisted another MRI scan. I complied. After analysis, he told me to get rest. Then, I have a question in my mind. Should I take the 3 days MC and move my items? Should I really rest at home?

Second hand air con

To save cost and being environmental friendly, I have used the one used aircon which was installed at another unit. I want to dismantle, service and re-instal it at my new apartment. I asked the contractor. He does not know how much will it cost. He can only provide to me after viewing the unit.

Strong MYR Policy or Increase Interest

BNM has yet to decide what is its strategy to fight against the inflation. They either could use strong MYR policy which is Singapore government is using. Now, 1 SGD is equal to RM 2.43 today. Therefore, the citizen could afford to purchase the imported goods at lower price. Another common stratgey is interest rate shall raise to fight against the inflation. The inflation rate is expected about 6-7%. Therefore, many analysts are expecting the BNM to increase 25-50 basis points if BNM chooses this option.

Increase in interest rate will end up I have to pay higher instalment. Instalment is always Bank Lending Rate (BLR) + spread. If 50 basis points, I may have to pay additional RM 15,000 for total tenure. I could only hope the property could appreciate as fast as the inflation.

Connection of TNB

TNB collected my deposit on 2 July 2008. However, they have yet to install the meter for my unit. I think there will be some delays in moving in the unit. I have been following up closely with the TNB oursourced company. I hope to get it done by today.

Connection of Water

I was surprised that the developer told me the building is completed. They have handled over the unit. But the water connection will only be carried 3 weeks later. What is the hand over? It is not yet completed. The developer told me that the staff has resigned and the new staff is having difficulty to follow through the outstanding matters with the water provider.

From the incident, it is important the handle over of the staff when he leave the company. Otherwise, the company may have hard time to complete the whole project. End up, the purchasers are the victim for the delays.

Coming to 5th year working in the same company

I am not a person who like to hop from one job to another job or one company to another company. Today, it is the 1st day of my 5th year working in the same company. It has broken my own record. I have been joining the workforce since 1995. I hope it will be the last job as I am still comfortable with the workload, bosses around and colleague. Over the 13 years in my working life, this is only my 4th job.

In 2008, many companies have stopped giving bonuses & increaments. But, my company is still giving those neccessity items for a working class person. Times are bad and I am moving into a new unit. I dare not consider any new job offer.

I am boleh ! I hope i could work for this company another year.

2 weeks B4 moving into my new home

I have just bought a studio. I have been renting houses many years. It is first time to move into my own unit. Last week, i have collected my key from the developer. I was excited. I have sourced for the Interior Designer to renovate my studio. To my surpise, it is really costs to setup one house. For a studio, my renovation budget has ballooned to RM 30k. Unbelievable, isn't it?

Beside the renovation, I have placed deposit at TNB for electricty connection. It is another RM 350.00. I plan to move out my rented unit as soon as possible. I went to a Feng Shui Master. I told him I want to move before the hungry ghost month. He checked the date. Hmmm.. it is 14 July 2008 at 1pm to 5pm is the best time. He told me to prepare some praying items. I shall comply with it. I am not very supertitous person. Being brought up as a chinese, I just want to make myself feel better at least I have done it. For those couple, most of them have choosen the best date & time for their wedding, but there are still many divorce cases too. Don't Think too much.
